The Fox Theatre is a non-profit, tax-exempt institution. Yet the creation of the "Marquee Club" guarantees a lot more income, which will translate into a larger bonus for the managers. To make the club possible, they demolished half of the public bathrooms serving the orchestra level.
Every ticket price includes a $3.50 "restoration" donation. Thus, the average patron is subsidizing these outrageous manager's salaries and a VIP club which costs $6000 a year to join.
What can you do about this? File a complaint with the IRS, it's as easy as ABC, Here is the very simple one-page form, which can be emailed.
