ROBBIE IRVIN 1955-2019 "WORLD'S YOUNGEST THEATRE ORGANIST"

Robert "Robbie" Irvin who was billed at age fifteen as the "world's youngest theatre organist" was discovered by Joe Patten, the Phantom of the Atlanta Fox Theatre, as described in this 1971 article.

Robbie, who remained a professional keyboardist for the rest of his life, passed away at age 63 on January 11, 2019 in Manhattan, his home for twenty-five years.

Robbie's father, a pilot for Delta, was a survivor of the Winecoff Hotel fire (1946) in which his brother Harold perished.
