Brilliant volunteer photographer and historian Ray Spurlin from Georgia Tech who appeared on the scene in 1974.
Here is his excellent shot of Joe Patten and the Norelco rep after they had donated the thousand light bulbs required to re-lamp the vertical sign, 1976.
